We are starting a new adventure in Year 5! 🚀

Andy Warhol
In 5th Grade, we have started learning about Andy Warhol and Pop Art. Warhol was a famous American artist who took inspiration from everyday objects and famous people, often repeating their images using bright and eye-catching colours.
Over the next few lessons, we will explore his artistic style and try to recreate some of his works while creating our own Pop Art compositions. 🌈🎨
Henri Rousseau
In 3rd Grade, we have started learning about Henri Rousseau, a French artist famous for his colourful paintings of jungles, animals and nature. Although he never travelled to the jungle, he used his imagination to create amazing and mysterious scenes.
Over the next few lessons, we will explore his artistic style and try to recreate some of his artworks using our own creativity and imagination. 🌿🐯🎨
We start our project
Our Year 2 students discovered the colourful art of Alma Thomas. They recreated Castalla Castle using small colourful shapes to create a bright and vibrant mosaic-inspired artwork. 🌈🏰🎨
Our Mondrian Project
Our Year 1 students have created their own Mondrian-inspired Castalla Castle. They used red, yellow, blue, black and white to turn our local castle into a colourful work of art while learning about Piet Mondrian. 🎨🏰
